RemitIndex was founded in 2024 by Tarika Chandel after experiencing first-hand how difficult it is for NRIs and expats to find the best rates when sending money home.
We built RemitIndex to solve a simple problem: give people an independent, unbiased platform to compare remittance providers, forex cards, and financial products — so they can make informed decisions without hidden agendas.

Update Frequency
Rates are updated daily for all major corridors. Exchange rates fluctuate throughout the day, so we display the most recent data available and include timestamps for transparency.
Independent & Unbiased
RemitIndex is editorially independent. While we may earn referral commissions from some providers, this never influences our rankings, which are based solely on rates and fees.
